About 1997
Dive into a gripping narrative mystery set in a secluded Russian town where the past looms large and unsettling secrets lurk beneath the surface. In this visual novel, players navigate the life of teenagers in Kuznetsk, a community cut off from the outside world, which is shrouded in rumors and the foreboding presence of a dark lake. The gameplay revolves around dialogue choices and observing character interactions, drawing you deeper into the story as you unravel the town's hidden history filled with psychological tension and mature themes.
The full Russian voice acting enhances the immersive atmosphere, while the anime-inspired art style keeps the focus on character-driven storytelling. With its blend of nostalgia for the late '90s and a haunting mystery, this game offers a unique experience that emphasizes emotional depth over traditional gameplay mechanics. If you enjoy narrative-driven experiences like Danganronpa or darker visual novels, you'll find plenty to love here.
