About SGS Okinawa

Experience the gritty reality of wartime strategy in this intense turn-based wargame set during the final stages of the Pacific War. Players engage in tactical battles on the island of Okinawa, where each move is a calculated risk amid limited resources and daunting terrain, from caves to fortified trenches. As you command battalions of infantry, armor, and air support, you'll navigate through a series of scenarios that unfold over 20 to 40 turns, reflecting the real challenges faced in 1945.

What sets this game apart is its deep asymmetry: while American forces strive for relentless advancement backed by superior firepower, the Japanese must use their defensive positions to inflict maximum casualties. The game introduces card mechanics that add depth and unpredictability, allowing for tactical maneuvers or reinforcements at crucial moments. With various setup options to tweak the battlefield experience, this title is perfect for strategy enthusiasts who appreciate a demanding and authentic military challenge. If you enjoy methodical hex-based tactics, this game is definitely worth checking out.
